Nicole & Azul with Mishka
Sarah from Vibrant k9 has completely changed my life and Mishka’s(my newfie) life in the best way possible. Ever since we picked up Mishka from the breeder she always had a bit of an attitude, and since she was a puppy I thought it was just “ a puppy” thing that would work itself out with training. Turns out that Mishka was actually reacting out of fear and really lacking confidence. During group glasses she would bark, lunge, and lose all control to the point where I could not get her attention to disengage and would have to drag her out of class and leave early. She was unable to go on walks around the neighborhood due to my own fear of her reacting and me not being able to manage the situation. I was completely lost and felt like I was running out of options and patience.
I was referred to Vibrant k9 (Sarah) by a friend who had a similar issue, and never thought that someone could make such a huge difference in such a short period of time. Initially, I started to work with Sarah in an outside group class, versus an indoor class. Being outdoors gave Mishka the space she needed, but Sarah and I noticed that Mishka needed more structure and a different approach to training due to her reactivity. This is when I decided to do a Board and Train, and requested that Sarah introduce the prong collar in a positive way and environment.
After Mishka’s BnT, I swear she gave me back a different dog! Mihska was excited to put on her collar and go to “work”, and she still gets excited the moment I grab the collar because she knows she is about to do something fun and use her skillset. She is able to walk past dogs without reacting and she can walk around and even “settle” in loud, busy, places without feeling overstimulated. Sarah worked with Mishka every day for countless hours exposing her to different environments and scenarios all while making it a positive experience. She even provided live video footage so that I could reference what she was doing for my at home training. I now only train with Sarah and refer Vibrant k9 to everyone who is having training troubles, or anyone who wants to just learn more about training and see what their dog is capable of!

“Sarah at Vibrant K9 is seriously amazing at what she does. She’s helped us understand and manage a multiple dog/puppy household while making everything easy to understand. She really listens to you and helps walk through any issues no matter how small. Her knowledge in different areas of training has immensely supported us with training our three unique dogs. Most importantly her assistance helping me train my service dog prospect has made the world of difference. Sarah creates a comfortable space to talk about my shortcomings with training and wants to build you up to be excited for training and enhancing your bond with your dog. I’ll forever be grateful for her guidance.”

“We have loved our experience working with Sarah via private lessons and continue to enjoy services she provides such as boarding! We reached out when we wanted more guidance on dog reactivity and relationship building. She is sincere, reliable and passionate about helping dogs and their owners. It’s wonderful being able to work with someone who is communicative and is always happy to answer questions. She’s helped us develop a better relationship with our rescue dog and has provided lots of useful insight on how to progress in our training. She provided thorough notes after each lesson so that we had clear goals to work on. Our last boarding experience was so great that we actually look forward to boarding our dog with her in the future knowing that she is in good hands.”

“I found Sarah via Instagram and reached out to her because I felt joyful when watching her train and play with her dogs. I believe training should be a fun experience for both you and your dog, so finding and connecting with a trainer with similar values was a goldmine for us. We have worked together virtually (we live very far apart) and even though I am not her highest paying client or in-person, she has treated me with more care than any other trainer I've worked with. She happily answers my questions as they arise, provides resources for after our calls, always gives thoughtful responses, and checks in on us. I love working with her so much -- and I haven't even gotten to her training yet! She has been able to help me contextualize what my own training philosophy is and what is and isn't right for training the dog in front of me. We've been able to clean up markers, basic obedience, and work on his state of mind all from just two virtual sessions. Honestly, I could go on forever but I'll just end by saying that she has been the greatest help I could have asked for and has undoubtedly changed our lives for the better.”

She takes the time to listen to your concerns and helps you attain your training goals. After each session she sends an email reviewing everything that was discussed in the training session. Our dog, Gizmo, loves seeing Sarah every other week. We wouldn't trust anyone else with our pup. I would highly recommend Vibrant K9 Training.”
